Parque Mar is in a quiet location right by the sea – yet within minutes you’re right in the heart of the holiday action in Cala d’Or and Cala Egos.

Whether you want to pop out for fresh bread rolls in the morning, have a stroll through the little shops in the evening, plan a boat trip or explore the surrounding area by bike: you can reach many places easily on foot or after a short journey.

This means you can tailor your holiday exactly as you like – relaxing in the resort, being active and out and about, or enjoying a lovely mix of both.

Places to visit

In the famous marina of Cala d’Or – which is within walking distance and definitely worth a visit – small, idyllic Mallorcan fishing boats lie alongside white luxury yachts. Cafés and restaurants line the promenades. It’s easy to lose track of time here and spend hours watching the people and the hustle and bustle in the harbour.

Cala d’Or’s pedestrianised area blends kitsch and art. Here you can pick up typical Mallorcan souvenirs in the gift shops or enjoy a sophisticated shopping experience in first-class boutiques.

In just a few minutes’ drive, you can reach various attractions, such as the famous San Salvador Monastery or the Caves of Drach, renowned for their extraordinary stalactite formations.

It couldn’t be more convenient: there’s a supermarket right opposite Parque Mar. Perfect for anything you might need on the go – from breakfast on the terrace to a quick snack for your day out.

You’ll also find a new Mercadona in Cala d’Or harbour, offering a wider selection.

A shopping arcade with shops, cafés and restaurants is within easy walking distance. Ideal for a leisurely stroll, an ice cream on the go or a relaxing evening out of the resort.

Weekly market in Santanyí

A particularly lovely day out takes you to the artists’ village of Santanyí.

The street market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays and is one of the most popular markets in south-east Mallorca. Amidst the fruit, vegetables, arts and crafts, clothing, ceramics and local specialities, you can enjoy a lovely stroll and soak up the Mallorcan way of life.

Cala d’Or Harbour is a lovely place for a stroll, an evening meal or a drink whilst admiring the boats.

Various boat trips also set off from here – perfect if you’d like to experience the coast from the water for a change.

Cala d’Or, literally translated as ‘Golden Bay’, offers not only golden sandy beaches with gentle access to the sea – ideal for children and families – but also a variety of water sports.

Just a few minutes’ drive away is the fantastic sandy beach of S’Amarador in the Mondrago Nature Reserve, which offers unspoilt nature, the sea, the beach and a pine forest.  Small beach restaurants, known as ‘chiringuitos’, await you with typical Spanish tapas, dishes and drinks. This, too, is a lovely part of Mallorca!

Cycling Tours

The area around Cala d’Or is ideal for cycling tours.

Right in Cala d’Or, you’ll find two bike hire shops where you can hire suitable bikes for your ride. Whether it’s a leisurely ride, a challenging route or a short exploration of south-east Mallorca – you can get your day off to an active start from Parque Mar.

Padel Tenis

Would you like to stay active whilst on holiday?

There is a padel tennis court near Parque Mar. Padel is easy to get into, great fun and perfect for anyone who wants to combine exercise, sport and socialising.
